Spiritual Gifts

Gifts - we desire for people to explore and tap into why God created them.

Mankind was created in God’s image and likeness. (Gen. 1:26) His image gives us the ability to look like Him. His likeness gives us the ability to act like Him. Because of this, God gives us gifts that we can use to serve the local church.

Natural Gifts are those we are given from birth or those that we cultivate over time.

Supernatural Gifts are given by God after a person’s salvation experience. Each of these is given by each member of the Trinity.

Types of gifts

Gifts from God - General gifts given regardless of faith tradition. (Rom. 12:6-8)

Gifts from Jesus - Overseeing gifts to equip the members of the

church to serve. (Eph. 4:11-13)

Gifts from the Holy Spirit - Gifts given through the baptism of the

Holy Spirit. (1Cor. 12:1-11)
